In March 2020, we stopped going to the gym, and it made me sad. I even wrote a slice about it. We were able to exercise in other ways through the spring and summer because of the nice weather. When fall came, and we were not ready to go back yet, we invested in a treadmill and set it up along with all of our weights in the garage. We weren’t sure how this makeshift gym would go. “How can you work out in your garage?” some friends would ask.
There are days when it’s cold and dark and a little less motivating without others alongside me, however there are benefits to sleeping a bit later, rolling out of bed, and being at my gym in a matter of minutes.
Best of all, when the weather is just right, you can open the garage door, and I am very certain about one thing-
I would never get this view at the gym.
Wow! That is spectacular. It almost makes me want to work out!

Looks like you’ve created a different set of advantages for yourself with your garage substitute gym.

My treadmill is still in my garage after our move…not yet plugged in. This gives me a little more motivation to get it going. We’re thinking of making the garage our workout area too!
